Christmas is all around

Hi everyone, Karina here today. I hope you are doing fine and am ready for Christmas. All preparations done? Not many time to go anymore... where has the time gone. It feels like the last weeks passed by like a jet... :o)

Lately I was so much in the mood to create Christmas cards with image which are not christmassy. And this was so much fun. Today I want to share two of them with you.

The first one I made is with one of my most favourite Sweet Pea Stamps image called 'One and only heart' by ching-chou kuik's. I coloured the image with Distress Inks. The papers I used are from Simple Stories. I love how it turned out. I haven't use that much embellies as I usually do.

Here is a close up of the image.

The second card I show you today is the one I made for our last challenge at Crafts and Me Challenges. We had the theme Winter / Snowflakes. I thought why not create a card in non usual wintery colours? And with a non christmassy image as well. I love the result.

For this card I used the image 'Night Blossom' by Janna Prosvirina. I coloured her with Distress Inks as well and added some Stickles on her wings. The papers are from Rico Design. I already had it for quite some time and finally used it.

Here a close up of the image as well. Where you can see the glittery wings any better. The Snowflakes die is from Whimsy Stamps.

Now I wish you a not to stressy final spurt to Christmas and hope you can enjoy a lightfull advent season.
Have a magical week!
Hugs, Karina

Ching-Chou Kuik Rubberstamps and Digi Image Perched at Dawn

Hi there! This is Rose sharing some of the colored images that I’ve been playing with recently. I’ve been having way too much fun adding color to these amazing Ching-Chou Kuik rubberstamped images.

This photo shows how I’ve used some of my favorite Copic colors to fill Ching-Chou Kuik’s Wait For You.

This photo shows my attempts at making a black cat while filling this Ching-Chou Kuik Moonlight Whispering image. Once my marker ink was dry, I added another light layer of blue to give that dark black cat a cool overtone of blue for a midnight effect.

You may have seen this card at the current Crafts and Me Stripes challenge. I’ve used my Copic colors to fill this recently released Perched at Dawn digital image by Sara Burrier. Wouldn’t you love to have this sweet, little, chubby bird there to greet you into your new day?

You can find these and more newly released digi images at the Crafts and Me store here.

There's still time to add your entry to the current Digi team's Stripes challenge here.  Visit the Crafts and Me challenge blog again on Wednesday for a new Rockin' Rubbah challenge.

Wishing you a fantastic day!  We're so glad you stopped by to visit!

Yellow Hearts

Hi everyone, Karina here today... you may wondering why I am posting this week as it is the week of the Rubbah team. Well, unfortunately dear Sylvia left the team and I wanted to switch from the Digi to the Rubbah team and cover Sylvia's place from now on. Please keep up visiting Sylvia's Blog as she really does gorgeous work.

Well, today I show you a card I made with a Sweet Pea stamps available here at Crafts and Me. I made this card for the Stamparama show where you can visit Crafts and Me. This image is called 'Red Hearts'. I coloured the hearts yellow instead as I liked it this way. The colouring is made with Distress Inks and the papers are several pieces I had still left from making other cards. I am in the process to use up those stuff as well.

Just today we started a new challenge over at the Crafts and Me Challenges. The theme is 'Make it Count' where we ask to include a number to your creation. We are looking forward what you are creating.

Well, have a wonderful week and see you soon... thank you so much for your visit here which is always so much apprechiated.

Hugs, Karina
