Columbine

Hi my fellow crafters and stampers out there. Karina here today. Oh boy I am late with my post... sigh. I had a quite busy week and feel tired now. And as you can guess I am so happy we have weekend and can get some rest. I were planned for being off today, but as we have a shortage at work due to holidays and unexpected illness I had to work today and weren't able to finish my card before. But here I am...

My card I show you today is made with an amazing image by Sara Burrier. This lovely mermaid is called 'Columbine' and you can find her HERE. I used one of my fave colour combination at the moment, pink and green. It looks so fresh. The paper I used is from Basic Grey, from the Romani collection. I coloured the image with Copics.

I also have a second card to show you. It is the one I made for the challenge over at Crafts and Me Challenges with the theme 'Birthday'. For this card I used another beauty by Sara Burrier. She is sweet 'Poppy'. I already used her several times as I love so much to colour her. And she fits for quite some occasions. You can find her HERE. She is coloured with Copics as well. The papers are from Kaiser Kraft.

Right now you still have some time to enter our newest challenge with the theme 'Favourites'. Show us your favourite image. We love to see. To join us just go HERE.

Well, wish you a magical weekend now. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Hugs, Karina

Here's some cards I've made recently, I missed my last slot when blogger was down so catching up if you missed them on my blog!

This gorgeous girl is a new one from the Melody's World range by Lemon Shortbread and will be released on rubbah soon!

Added sparkle on her dress with a clear sakura stardust pen.  I used flowersoft on her bouquet and headband for dimension.

This one is Daydreamer by Sara Burrier and will be released soon on rubbah.  I was so chuffed with this one using my first doily (simple things and all that haha!)

This one is a digi by Hannah Lynn and is called Aliah and is available now for £2.  The hair is really easy as it comes with a lot of black line so even if you just coloured it in one solid colour it would look fabulous.

This one is pearl swirl mermaid by Jasmine Becket-Griffith and is a rubbah stamp, I coloured with promarkers and pencil.

And finally the beautiful and very popular Poppy by Sara Burrier available now on digi.   The wings are coloured with glamour dust and I had a play with my sewing machine I'm actually not very good with but practice, practice, practice!  My DD nicked this one for her mate last night!

Thanks for stopping by and please do pop over and join in the challenge!

Another sneak peek

Before I get onto the sneak peek I have another card to share. This week it is the Digi teams turn again for the challenge at Crafts and Me challenges and they have decided they want to see Kraft on your creation. Yet again I could not resist the pull of the gorgeous digis so have made a card as well :D
I have opted to use the very cute Poppy digi by Sara Burrier (available HERE). As normal I coloured her with promarkers and sakura stardust pens for a touch of sparkle.

Now the bit you have been waiting for this is one of the 3 gorgeous new Sara Burrier stamps soon to be released in rubbah. She is called The leap. The detail on this stamp is just amazing Teresa has been working hard and found a new supplier and I have to say the quality was always good but this is brilliant there is so much detail on her bodice and it all stamped crystal clear every time for me :D
I have kept the rest of this card very simple so that the image is the main focus. I have coloured her with the same promarker and sakura stardust pen combo. I don't know about you but I can not wait to see what the rest of the new releases look like.

Tutorial for Trifold Card

Hello folks its Gina here and I'm here to show you how I made my Trifold Card as Teresa has asked me to but you will have to bear with me as I've never done one before lol and I cant find it anywhere on web, I was sent a card a few months back similar but cant find it, i know its here somewhere as I keep all the cards I'm sent.
Any way here goes.

You need a sheet of 12x12 card Paper cutter, scissors 4 sheets of paper, length of ribbon pearls to match and Martha Stewart punches or you can use whatever punches you have and some double sided tape.

You will now need to Score your card at 6inches or 15 centimetres both ways across and at 9 inches or 23 centimetres as in picture,

fold your score lines them flatten them back out just to make it easier to cut , you can now cut off the shaded parts in picture above so you end up with this strange shape in the picture below

now you can make your folds as in the picture below and start to decorate your card

cut your first piece of paper to 141/2 centimetres square add your double sided tape to the edges and across the middle stick in place

now continue cutting and adding your papers and fold your pocket flap up attach double sided tape to the edges inside to secure the pocket as in the picture below

cut a strip of card just under 6 inches to go along the flap punch with what ever you have then attach with double sided tape on the inside you then cut your paper to size to cover the bottom DO NOT stick the flap down as this is how your card stands up

You now need to attach your ribbon i've attached mine with double sided tape in the middle as you wont see it once you've attached your image to your card

well your pretty much done now here are some pictures of one i made earlier
the first one is opened out completely showing you the inside

the next picture is showing you the card completely showing you the outside

in the picture below the card is folded and the ribbon is tied

in this picture its open so you can see how the card stands up

in this picture the ribbon is tied to keep the flap shut

Well i hope you can understand my instructions ok if not then email me and i will try to help you out. I hope you enjoy making this as much as i did, take care.

Meeting Poppy

Happy Friday Peeps,

Hope you've all had a good week and looking forward to the weekend.  Not been such a good week in my household, nothing knew I know.  My daughter had her iphone and some cash stolen from her handbag on Monday evening and on Wednesday evening we had the pleasure of someone or more than more visiting our street slashing tyres, which included again my Daughter's.  At least 7-8 cars were attacked and they slashed two tyres preventing people from going to work and children getting to school.  What pleasure do they get out this this.  Honestly!  One of these week's I'll have some real good news, promise.  Let's hope the weekend is better.

Now that I have depressed you, hopefully this picture of one of the new digi releases at Crafts and Me will cheer us all up.  This is Poppy by Sara Burrier:-

She's just soooo pretty.  Poppy is coloured using copics and shaded with prisma pencils.  Some star dust stickles added to her wings to make her sparkle and are also available from the Crafts and Me Store.

Enjoy the weekend Peeps and thanks for popping by.
