Make Your Own Embellishments Using Air Dry Clay

Morning Peeps,

Now don't feint, I've written my first tutorial. Yayyyy, I hope I hear you say, lol. I've used the delight air dry paper clay available from Crafts and Me. I know I have raved at how easy this is to use so I thought I would show you. My clay is half used so your bag wont look like it's been through the mill like mine does.

OK, let's get started. I have a little key mould, also available from Crafts and Me a long with many others. I am also going to show you how easy it is to use a stamp in the clay to create your own embellishments.

Just pop some of the white clay into the mould as shown and leave on the windowsill overnight. See, told you it was easy.

At the same time I just patted out a round circle and then stamped my sentiment into the middle.

Picture isn't briliant, but I think you get the idea. I then cut it into a shape that I wanted to end up with. This can be circular, square whatever you fancy.

Voila, in the morning they are ready and then you can either leave them white or add some colour.

I have added some lilac acrylic paint to one of the keys, and left the other one exactly as it came out of the mould. On the Have Bags of fun embellishment, I have sprayed this with glimmer mist so although you can't see if in the picture, it's irredescent and sparkly. You may want to add some metallic rub on's, especially in the letters to make them stand out more or add another colour. I have added some gold metallic rub on's to the "Shop to you drop" to give you an idea. Try different colouring products to see the different effects, you get loads in the bag and I know Teresa has some liquid amber in store where you just pour that into the mould and voila.

Pop on over to Crafts and Me to view all the moulds HERE and the delight clay at only £4.25 for a pack HERE and you could also get some glimmer mist whilst your there HERE.

Have fun.
