Tutorial Using Cool and Warm Greys

Hi Everyone,

I love using Zindy's images and colouring in black and white.  A few weeks ago I coloured an image using cool and warm greys and loved the effects and so did many of my followers so  I thought I'd show you how I achieved it.  I know there are many tutorials on how to colour black so not to bore you I have already coloured this section, but I thought I would just show you how I colour the face in black and white.

I have chosen the image Please Don't Let It Fly by Zindy Nielsen and we'll start colouring the face using C3, C1, C00.

Start with C3 and add your shadows where you think they will be.

Blend out using C1

And blend out again using C1 and I went one step further and blended to the lighter areas using C00

I then proceeded to follow the same process for all other skin areas

I then went back to the stubbly area on the Gentlemen and added some stippled C7 (dots)

Now I start to colour the shirt using the Warm Greys.  I started with W3 and again outlined where I wanted my darker areas to be.  Google images of shirts and see how the folds are.

I then blended the W3 out with W1

And then blended the W1 out with W0.

When I had done this I wasn't entirely happy with the result so I went over it and repeated the steps using W5, W3, W1 and this is the result.

And here's my finished card.  I hope you like my vintage black and white and will give it a go.

I'm Back

Hi everyone!! It's Angela here and it's my turn to share with you today.  I had to take some time off as I had so much going on at home and in our lives that I just needed to focus on other things.
I created this card using a rubber image by Molly Harrison and I can't remember the name of this image and for some reason it's not on the store either.

I decided to color her in warm gray's and keep the image pretty simply.
I used some paper by Prima, Flowers, Die cuts, Silver Metal Corner , big pearls and distressing inks.

I hope I am finally getting back to my normal self and hopefully my posting as I have missed it so much.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Hugs:)

Night Blossom in summer style

Hello everyone, Karina here to show you what I created recently with some gorgeous Crafts and Me Stamps. Hope you're doing fine and enjoy sunny summer weather just like I do.

The first card I want to show you is made with one of my fave image. It is from the fabulous artist Janna Prosvirina. This beautiful fairy is called 'Night Blossom'.

I played with a new die I have and I think it gives the card a lovely effect. Here you can see the card half closed.

And here you can see the opened card. I made the colouring with Distress Inks.

The second project I show you is made for our last challenge where we had the theme 'anything goes. I had to create a bottle hanger for a wedding we was invited and so I chose to use this amazing image from Zindy S.D. Nielsen. It is called 'Please Don't Let it Fly' which I think is perfect for a couple.

Wish you a wonderful day now! Thank you so much for looking.
Hugs, Karina

April by Hannah Lynn

Good evening everyone!

I`m a bit late with this post today. Life got in the way this time, so sorry about that.

For my creation today i have used an image from Hannah Lynn called "April". Isn`t she gorgeous? Just look at that beautiful long and flowing hair. I just looove that about Hannah`s images. She is available here. She is coloured with ProMarkers. The list of colours you can find in my blog.

Usually i work best under pressure but this time i found that time was running away from me, lol. I wouldn`t claim that this one is amongst my best work, lol. But i`m pleased with the image. I`m still trying out some new colour combos for hair, and this is one of the new ones. I had a couple of mishaps butall in all i like the colour.

I also just want to show you the card i made for the previous digi challenge. Here i have used an image by Sara Burrier called "Hidden".  All the info on the colours you can find here.

This image is just sooo gorgeous and she is available here.

Yesterday the rubbah team started a new challenge over at the challenge blog. And yes it`s all our favourite challenge...Anything goes! So now it`s just for you to hop on over to the challengeblog and join in on the fun. Take care everyone!

Night Time Fairy

Hi everyone, Karina here... today I want to show you a card I just made with one of the fabulous new images by Zindy S.D. Nielsen. I love her fairy images! This one is called 'Night Time Fairy'.
Here you can see a close up of the image. I coloured it with Distress Inks. And I added some sparkle to her wings and the butterfly die as well.

The second card I show you today is the one I made for our last challenge at Crafts and Me Challenges. There we had the theme 'Lace'. For this card I used one of the newest images from Janna Prosvirina called 'Dragonfly'. I made a lot of sewing on my card as I used a wider piece of lace for it.

I coloured this beautiful image with Distress Inks as well. And added some sparkling to her wings, too. I wanted to make it just like dragonflies wings which are shimmering in lila and green sparkling colours.

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Karina
