Here is my snowflake candle this is my first attempt at these I need more practice but didn't turn out too bad once I got the image to stay put. The stickles I used on Wintergreen's fur on the hat and dress Coffee Ice is beautiful it is such a shame you can't see that in the picture.

Introducing our Newest Artist - Lemon Shortbread!

Good Morning!! I'd like to have the pleasure of introducing Crafts & Me's latest stamp designer LEMON SHORTBREAD who's designs are as sweet as her name!

Vera has developed her very own character named "Melody" who is such a pretty thing with a range of stamps coming to Crafts & Me which are on pre-order from today! Please go and check these absolutely beautiful designs out in the shop and pre-order to get your hands on them the moment they are released!

To celebrate Melody's world we are giving newsletter readers 10% off this fabulous new range from 23rd-30th November for one week only while stocks last by entering the code melody at the check-out.
Don't worry if you are not a newsletter reader just pop over to the store and register it's FREE

Lemon Shortbread is a graphic illustrator from Singapore who likes pop-art, ukiyo-e, surrealism and old stuff. She says "I hope you will find the Melody series fun and groovy like how the Sixties were, they are inspired by actual fashion during that era!" You will find more of her works on Etsy.

This is one of the new designs by Lemon Shortbread called "Flapper Girl Melody" I just couldnt take my eyes off the design when I first saw it, she's an absolute beauty! She can also be used for any occasion or age group and dressed up in any colours you like! I've made her into a Christmas card for this one to show how versatile she is. Melody is coloured with promarkers and a white gel pen for the beads and she has a little swarovski hat pin and I've also made a little swarovski pin on the side because she's worth it!

These are exclusive to Crafts & Me and I'm sure you'll love Lemon Shortbread's "Melody" as much as we do!

Sunday 21 November 2010

Here's some I made earlier....

Good Afternoon *waves madly* and how are we getting on with the Xmas card making? I'm popping over to show some creations I've made recently using gorgeous stamps available at Crafts & Me which you may not have seen yet :) I've won blog awards for several of them and the feedback has been immensely positive but then they're absolutely gorgeous to work with so thats half the battle!

First up my Wintergreen Wishes in Pink, I saw a challenge for Pink Christmas and I just had to enter it, who can't resist a bit of pink! This one won Top 3 and Top 5 awards and a Top prize and she's so easy to colour and looks nice in any combo you choose! She's coloured with Promarkers and highlghts with sakura stardust pens. I sprayed the flowers with cosmic shimmer (Angel Mist) to match. She has long flowing locks and a big face area and really is simple to colour so if you're looking for something thats quick look no further.
Here she is again in traditonal Xmas colours for a totally different look :)

Next up is one of the new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps - Cinderella. I just loooove her dress and can lose myself colouring her, beautiful and suitable for many occassions (Xmas, Birthday, Prom etc) Again another one that's easy to colour though I do like to spend my time on her and again colour is no object, anything you like :)

This pretty lady is Krista by Hannah Lynn and again another one that screams COLOUR ME! Oh I do love this stamp and like playing around with different colours in her hair :) Here's a blue and a pink version with a pink and yellow version is on the shop.

More of a nautical one here and this is Kathleen again by Hannah Lynn (Can you tell I'm rather fond of Hannah's designs!) A bit tricker to colour so if you find your promarker nibs a bit fat for some of the more wispy bits I switch to a sakura pen for that.

A couple by the designer Molly Harrison, this first one The Gift is proving quite popular as I've seen her a few times round blogger and again if you're looking for quick and easy simply stamp, colour your hair and skin tones and I just added cool aqua promarkers around the edges and used the blender pen to smudge them out then I've used a glue pen and glamour dust aka ultra fine crystal glitter for sparkle on the wings.

This is another by Molly Harrison called Hiding. She's also quite easy if you left the background plain as she looks good in any colours. For the background here I used promarkers and the blender pen to tone out from light blues to black then smeared stickles over it for the stars.

Ths one is another by Kraftin' Kimmie called Cordelia. Again she's coloured with promarkers and sakura stardust pens and for the tail I coloured it in completely with a glue pen then added blue ultra fine glitter. She also comes with the fish stamp too!

One of my favourites now by Hannah Lynn called The Butterfly Keeper. I broke away from my usual blues and dark tones as the pink and orange paper was calling me! I do love how she turned out, she's a very pretty girl and a dream to colour!

And last but not least this is the gorgeous Adrianna coloured with promarkers and sakura stardust pens. There is a tutorial HERE in the shop on how I did the background and tail.

I love this close up showing all the sparkle! The earrings are made wth tiny 4mm daisy spacer beads and a sticky pearl.

I hope I've given you some inspiration and ideas on various ways to use these fabulous stamps! If you have any questions feel free to ask :)

Yule Fairy

This stunning Christmas fairy is one of the new range of Christmas stamps you can get your hands on only from Crafts and me. She is called Yule fairy and is from the Molly Harrison range HERE. I have coloured her with a mix of promarkers and sakura stardust pens so that she sparkles. I have also then added glaze to the baubles so they have a shine to them. The papers are from Dove crafts Noel set.

Snowy Treasures Mermaid/Hannah Lynn

Today I am showcasing one of the Fab new Hannah Lynn stamps which is available HERE at th Crafts and Me store.
I stamped the image using Versamark ink and then used Black embossing powder to emboss heated it with my heat gun i think it makes the image pop. Also i found it easier to colour as the raised edge stops the colours going over the lines, so a good thing for those peeps who arent so good at colouring.
Other items used.Diamond Stickles,Kars speciality papers, papermania cardstock, ribbon and buttons from my stash.

We have a brand new Challenge starting tomorrow over on the challenge blog HERE
and i,ve also posted the winner and Top 3 for Challenge #15 Halloween pop on over and see if it,s you.

Chillaxing Under The Sea

Evening Peeps,

I'm running a bit late this evening but have good excuses, lol.  As you all know I spend alot of time on my colouring and I think this image is no exception, plus I just had to visit the NEC today, some little crafty thing was going on there, lol.

Unfortunately now that the evenings are drawing in this isn't the best photograph and for some reason the light is making the lefthandside of the image a little dulled.  I will re-take in the morning, probably in the rain by the sounds of it out there. UPDATE - retaken, although it's sunny today so it still caused me a problem, lol, never happy am I?

Well, isn't she just sooooooooooooooooo gorgeous.  The stamp by Hannah Lynn is called Kathleen Mermaid and is available right HERE from Crafts and Me.  If you haven't checked out all of the Crafts and Me range of stamps you really don't know what your missing.  Hop on over to the Crafts and Me Challenge blog HERE for inspiration from my fellow teamies or just keep scrolling after this post, and we would love you to join in our challenge which is running until next Wednesday, which is to make a christmas gift.

I have been playing this week.  Some prisma pencils landed on my craft desk, so I had to have a play with them.  I have coloured her mostly with copics and have added the prisma pencils for shading.

Have a fab weekend all.
