Merry Mindy

Hi Everyone!!

It's Karen here this week, to show to you all a really great image by Hannah Lynn, this one is called Merry Mindy!!  She is of course brand new and available right now in store:-)

Merry Mindy is perfect for Christmas.  I've coloured her with my copic's and added some glossy accents to the Baubles on the tree - just to help them stand out a little more!!  I've kept my card simple so just a bit of patterned paper, some glittery card stock and voila....

So how are we all going with our Christmas Shopping, done and dusted? I am YAY!!!  I can't believe how  quick this year has gone, I guess building our new house, has really made the time flow.... Its our first Christmas here, so that is a bit exciting!!

Anyway I wanna say to you all - Have a Very Happy Christmas and a Very Merry New Year!!!  oh and be safe on the roads....

See you next year!

Sending Elegant and Tropical Holiday Wishes

Hi there! This is Rose sharing two cards I've made using some of the fantastic digital images available ONLY at Crafts and Me Stamps.

You may have seen this card at the current Dynamite Digi team's "Why So Blue? = No Blues Allowed!" challenge.  I've used newly released Art Deco Rita for an unusual yet elegant Christmas card.  You can find this lovely Rita image here.  When you want to convey the mood of a rich, bold and lavish eclectic style, Art Deco images are the perfect match.  Teresa carries many digi and rubberstamp Art Deco images that contain formal wear and show what appears to be the very best in taste and style.

You may have seen this card at the recent Dynamite Digi team's "Ribbon or Trim" challenge.  I've used Monarch Mermaid by Hannah Lynn for a tropical-themed Christmas card.  You can find the Monarch Mermaid as a digital image here.

First I wanted to show you another creation, but life is so busy and hectic at the mo so that I weren't able to finish. But will show you next time, promised. So I am showing you today the project I made for our last challenge, a very easy one... anything goes with the option Christmas decoration. I made a tag with one of the newest images from Robin Pushay which is called Snowflake Angel. Isn't she just so cute? I love this image, and I love tags... they are great as a card or as a decoration.

Here is a close up of the image I coloured with Copics.

Wish you a wonderful advent season and hope you are able to absent yourself from the big Christmas hectic, that part of this time I don't like...

Anyway this week at Crafts and Me we have some new digi images, like we always do on the 1st of each month.  This month we have some brand new Art Deco images which you can check out here... I love these girls and it was also the perfect excuse to use some of my Graphic 45 Ladies Diary Papers.... so here is my card... I hope you love it as much as me:-)

Isn't she just the coolest? Well I think so, I love the fashions of the 1920-30's... so glam... I have coloured her with my Copic's and added some sparkles with the Atyou Spica pens in Clear and also a little bit of Gelly Roll (its like Atyou but a bit thicker) to her dress, although you may not be able to see it in the photo...

There is a brand new challenge that has just started over here, make sure you enter you just could be this weeks winner!!

Make Your Own Dimensional Paper Asters!

Hi there! This is Rose sharing steps for creating your own handmade Asters.  Use scraps leftover from your cards and add gorgeous and unique handmade coordinating embellishments to support your images and sentiments.

You can find all the products you need at the Crafts and Me Stamps store here.

Here's what you'll need to start:
Computer Mouse Pad
Punch Bunch Paper Crafting Tools Kit (includes tweezers, embossing tips and more!)
Fine Tip Scissors
Medium Cosmos Punch
Medium Birch Leaf Punch
Mini Sun Punch
Clear-drying Wet Glue
Optional:  Diamond Stickles Glitter Glue

For your Aster, punch:
4 Medium Cosmos
3 Medium Birch Leaves
3 Mini Suns

Cut petals of all 4 Cosmos into thirds.

Cut rays of all 3 Suns in half.

Place Cosmos onto back of computer mouse pad and use large end of tool (5.5mm) to firmly push center of each flower into mouse pad while stirring to curl petals upward.

Insert 3mm size embossing ball into tool and tighten.  Place Suns onto back of computer mouse pad and use front end of tool (3mm) to firmly push center of each sun into mouse pad while stirring to curl rays upward.

Cut one sun through to its center.

Hold sun with tweezers on one side of cut line and place a tiny bit of wet glue on other side of cut line.  To cone this sun, guide sun between thumb and finger of free hand while slowly twirling tweezers away from the cut line to glued end and hold for a few seconds to secure edge.

Example of coned Mini Sun

Veins can be added to leaves by folding one side of each leaf over the tweezers tip.  Turn the leaf over and press embossing tip firmly onto leaf over hard surface to add additional thinner veins.

Small amounts of clear-drying wet glue can be added to pieces to begin layering.

Adhere flower base to leaves.  When layering flowers, offsetting the petals provides more fullness to your flowers.

Use minimal amounts of glue to layer your mini suns, offsetting rays, lastly adding your coned sun to the center.

Your completed handmade Aster will be ready to embellish your projects in just a few minutes when the glue has dried.  For a magical glow, paint a very thin and light layer of Diamond or Star Dust Stickles over each layer for glorious sparkle.

Here's wishing you a wonderful day!  We're so glad you stopped by to visit!

3 More Christmas Cards

Hello everyone Vicky here today, how was your weekend? Can you believe how close we are to Christmas, I have the total of 5 presents....altho I have got my youngest son one of the new Nintendo WiiU's that are due out the end of this month...........he has no idea as all he has asked for is more Xbox games. I so love surprising the kiddies ;0)

Anyway I'm running a tad late today & I have 3 cards to show you. A rubber new release, a digi from this months release & of course my challenge card.
So first up I will show you a new Rubber stamp that has been released, I think this could be my fave!!!
I have used 'Santa's Little Helper' by Robin Pushay...........I absolutely lurve this stamp!!!!

She was of course coloured with copics & prisma pencil in parts. I also added lashings of sparkles & pearl dots. Isn't she the sweetest little thing.
I have tried keep my foofiness minimal to let the image shine out :0)

Now this next one I wanted to see if I could make this image look like a christmas image, pop on over here to see the artists image.

This is one of this months digi images 'Wynndy' by Hannah Lynn & she is again coloured with copic.
I was actually really pleased with how this card & image turned out, you would think by looking at this she was meant for christmas.............I love images that you make to suit many occasions.
Lastly this is the card I did for the current Crafts & Me Challenge. It is 'First Snow' by Zindy Nielsen that was released last winter & still I love this stamp.
I went for shades of golds on this card & I think thwe gold colours suit her. Again coloured with copics, I love the colours in copics to make a goldy colour. I also added white flower soft to her hood to make it look more realistic.

Both of these rubber stamps & the digi images are available exclusive to Crafts & Me, pop on over to see the other totally gorgeous goodies Teresa has in. I'm sure Santie will bring you new goodies this year if you have been good ;0)

There is still time for you to join the current challenge which this week is 'CIRCLES' how easy peasy is that one........so grab your creations & come join in the fun!!

Thank you as always for stopping by, mmwah.
HUge huggles to all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
