Celebrating our new artist Janna Prosvirina with 10% off for newsletter readers

Good evening crafters!
Today we have a fabulous new artist Janna Prosvirina joining us here at Crafts and Me, with her wonderful range of fairy's and fantasy images that you will not find any where else, these will be available to purchase in deeply etched unmounted red rubber.
I am sure you will fall in love with them just like the d.t's and I have done and the d.t's love the larger size that these images come in making them easy to colour.
There is 10% off these new releases for all newsletter readers by entering the code at the checkout which was sent to you. This offer is from the 30th Oct-6th November while stocks last.

Here is a little bio from Janna followed by some pictures of her images.

I am a traditional artist/illustrator from Austria. I am entirely self-taught, I began working mainly in pencils but found my way painting faeries in watercolour.

I have always been interested in myth, legend, fairytales and fantasy worlds created by other artists, that is why fantasy themes are my favourite.

Sources of my inspiration are nature, autumn, music, people around me. I love painting, travelling, photography, modelling, going online and talk to creative people. I have a wide range of interest in different styles of art and still exploring different media. I am happy to have the opportunity to share my creations with others.

Hope you enjoy my work.

Greetings,

Janna

Blessed by Sara burrier

Hey sweet friends!

Mona here again to pester you with my jibberjabber, lol. This week hasn`t been the best for me. On tuesday i was completely without any voice and to have to work in a grocery store with no voice to talk to the customers, is not so cool. The customers thought it was very funny though, lol.

Well...on to my creations. This time i have made a card using the totally adorable digi "Blessed" by Sara Burrier. And because she is so cute i had to use "cute" colours too, lol. She is available right here in the Crafts and Me store.

I also want to show you my sample for the last Digi Team challenge. Here i have used The brand new Lady of the Field also by Sara Burrier. Available here.

Don`t forget to enter the rubbah team challenge going on over at the challengesblog. The theme is winter blue`s. Hope you are enjoying your weekend. I`m off to work now. Take care everyone!

Faded Digi Tutorial

Hi everyone Mina here, I have made this little tutorial to show you how I fade my digi's as used in the above card to give it a much softer feel and look, the digi I used is Into the Word by Sara Burrier, theres a couple of things you need to know first though, the only way your printer has of printing faded images is to miss out parts, so your image will appear in lines or pixels...there are a few other ways to do this, you can either just make the image brighter which fades it out but I found this also faded some of the finer lines of the image and lost some of the detail or you can print it on draft, I found this way looked really fuzzy, but both of these might work on your printer so give them a try, this is the way I did it though...I use MS Office Word for my printing but I would imagine all programmes have similar ways of doing the same things...right first add your image and click on text wrapping and behind text to make your image go behind what you add next, you can resize at this stage

then I went into Insert and Shapes and clicked on the rectangle you of course can use any shape you need it doesn't have to be a square just whatever covers your digi...click the page and add your rectangle and resize it to what you need

then do the same as you did above format, text wrapping and this time make it in front of text so it is above your image covering it totally

click format again and choose white as your shape fill, then click more fill colours

this brings up the colours box, at the bottom is the gauge for transparency, I chose 40% but you can make it darker or lighter of course

when you have finished choosing that you can choose if you want a shape outline to edge your box or shape or leave clear, the last photo shows the difference between a normal image and the faded one...then its just print as normal...hope this was easy to understand but if you need anymore info please just pop on over to my blog and my email is on my sidebar
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone

p.s. feel free to link to this post but remember don't lift or copy any of the images or info as it is copyrighted...thanks

Hiya!! I am a SAHM with three lovely boys aged 15, 13 and 8. Married to my best friend for 16 years, I am truly blessed. Have been living in the UK now for 5 years, originally from South Africa. I began my card making journey in October 2009 and am so addicted now that I wonder what I ever did with my time before this. It's crazy as there never seems to be enough hours in the day to craft lol! I feel so honoured to have been asked to join this fabby design team, thank you ever so much Teresa for this wonderful opportunity.

Good Morning fellow crafters. I am so excited as I write this post but also very nervous at the same time so please be gentle with me. It's going to be so great working with all these fabulous images and today I have used the gorgeous Irish Christmas Fae who is available to purchase from the store here.
I have coloured her in using a combination of Copics and Spectrum Noirs. Copic colours used are: E29, E25, E35, E71, E51, E00, E11, R20, G85, G82, G40. If you click on the picture to get a larger view you might be able to see the sparkle on her wings as I've used some Spray & Sparkle glitter which isn't showing up too well in the picture. Two of the Recently Released Sara Burrier Images

Hi there! This is Rose sharing two Copic-filled digi images that I’ve made some time to play with.

This photo shows a recently released Into The Word image by Sara Burrier.  This image is very long and thin and would make a magnificent image to use for a bookmark. I've sized her at 4.49" high by 1.46" wide.  You can find this lovely reading fairy at the Crafts and Me online store here.

You may have seen this card at the current Crafts and Me "Blue, Green and Pink" challenge. I've used Hope by Sara Burrier on this step card.

You can find these and more newly released digi images at the Crafts and Me store here.

There's still time to add your entry to the current Digi team's "Blue, Green and Pink" challenge here.  The wonderful Trish of the Crafts and Me Stamps Rubbah Team has donated the prize for this challenge and is offering Caron Vinson's Scorpio rubberstamp by Sweet Pea Stamps as a prize to a randomly selected entry.  Visit the Crafts and Me challenge blog again on Wednesday for a new Rockin' Rubbah challenge.

Wishing you a fantastic day!  We're so glad you stopped by to visit!

Another Sneek Peek

Hiya Crafts and Me Fans,

Gosh hasn't it turned cold this week.  After 29 degrees heat a couple of weeks ago to 2.5 degrees this week has come as a big shock.  I'm hiding under my duvet whilst hubby is on nightshift.  I can't say I've been in the mood to craft either.  I really could do with someone else doing my housework and cooking to free me up some time, any offers?????

I have another sneek peak to show you today and I believe this one is called "Clematis", from the new artist at Crafts and Me, isn't she beautiful adorned with clematis flowers everywhere.  I haven't quite finished this card really.  I want to add some shading and clouds around her so I will be returning to this card but am struggling with my mojo this week.

And here's my challenge card showing you another sneek peek, which I believe is called "Night Blossom".

Full details can be found on my blog.
Have a good weekend.

Here is my last Rubber Challenge creation.

Sorry to cut it so short but these last few days my nights have been taken up with helping the kids do a TON of homework and projects. It seems like here lately my craft time has been little to none.

Thanks for stopping by.

Day Dreamer

Hi dear friends and fellow stamp lovers. Karina here today to show you another creations I made lately.

The first one I show you is made with one of my favourite stamps by Sweet Pea Stamps. She is by the fabulous artist Anna Marine and is called 'Franceska'. I think this name suits her so well. Don't you think so? I coloured her with Copics. And I love how she turned out. Crafts and Me have a huge range of Sweet Pea Stamps in Stock!

Here a close up of the image;

As a second card I want to show you the card I made for the last challenge with the theme 'use orange'. I used this fabulous image called 'Day Dreamer' from the amazing artist Sara Burrier for my card. I coloured her with Distress Inks.

Today we started a new theme at the Crafts and Me challenges. We want to see 'Blue, Green and Pink'.

After two wonderful sunny and warm days we have grey and wet weather today. And it got really cold... brrr... so the perfect day to stay inside and crafting, what I will do this afternoon on my day off.

Have a magical day with lots of sunshine in your heart!
Hugs, Karina
