Making A Wish

Hi everyone hope you've all had a lovely jubbly weekend.
Well today is my day to show you a card using a stamp from Crafts & Me.
I did have another card all done using a different stamp but I cannot remember at all what I've done with it... I have been doing it all weekend putting things down & then not remembering where I've put it!! Apparently they say its called getting older......nerrrrr it cant be that.....I'm just erm.....tired yeah thats the word.
Anyway I was getting myself in such a tizz so instead I threw another card together well not literally threw lol.
So here is 'Making A Wish' by Jasmine Becket-Griffith.
I absolutely love this colour combo my daughter's bedroom is gonna be the same colour...pink & black.

She is coloured with Copics & Promarkers. Sprinkling of glitter was added to her wings & silver stickles were added to the fairy's wings. White gel pen was also used to do some highlighting streaks in her hair & also a gold gel pen in places too.

The ribbon & lace are from my stash. The paper is from Pink Petticoat 'Perfect Papers' the gingham I think might be Nitiwits. All pink & black card used is A4 card from The Paper Mill.

The flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts & I sprayed it with Gold Glimmer Mist here to give that bit of sparkle. The black roses are from Crafty Emma's.

The inside is decorated to compliment the front.
Well I hope you like my card today. Dont forget there is a bit of time left to enter our Challenge here, so if you have wings to show us then come fly to us all you pretties out there.
Pop back tomorrow for some more DT yumminess.
Thank you so much for stopping by huge hugs to you all mmwah

Make Your Own Embellishments Using Air Dry Clay

Morning Peeps,

Now don't feint, I've written my first tutorial. Yayyyy, I hope I hear you say, lol. I've used the delight air dry paper clay available from Crafts and Me. I know I have raved at how easy this is to use so I thought I would show you. My clay is half used so your bag wont look like it's been through the mill like mine does.

OK, let's get started. I have a little key mould, also available from Crafts and Me a long with many others. I am also going to show you how easy it is to use a stamp in the clay to create your own embellishments.

Just pop some of the white clay into the mould as shown and leave on the windowsill overnight. See, told you it was easy.

At the same time I just patted out a round circle and then stamped my sentiment into the middle.

Picture isn't briliant, but I think you get the idea. I then cut it into a shape that I wanted to end up with. This can be circular, square whatever you fancy.

Voila, in the morning they are ready and then you can either leave them white or add some colour.

I have added some lilac acrylic paint to one of the keys, and left the other one exactly as it came out of the mould. On the Have Bags of fun embellishment, I have sprayed this with glimmer mist so although you can't see if in the picture, it's irredescent and sparkly. You may want to add some metallic rub on's, especially in the letters to make them stand out more or add another colour. I have added some gold metallic rub on's to the "Shop to you drop" to give you an idea. Try different colouring products to see the different effects, you get loads in the bag and I know Teresa has some liquid amber in store where you just pour that into the mould and voila.

Pop on over to Crafts and Me to view all the moulds HERE and the delight clay at only £4.25 for a pack HERE and you could also get some glimmer mist whilst your there HERE.

Have fun.

The Gift..........for a special friend....

Hello all you lovelies did you all have a enjoyable weekend? I am so sorry for being so late today I've had a really bad day.....lets just say if someone says goverment cut backs once more I will scream!!! My daughter leaves school this year but unfortunately she has been forgotten about by the authority & now they running out of time to find a day centre that has the appropriate nurses to be able to care for her... To be honest its typical but never mind you dont need to hear my moaning.
My card today I have done for my best friend she is having a roughty toughty time at the mo & I just want to remind her I'm always there for her.......I have made a sentiment for her card on the comp but my printer has run out of ink so I will put the sentiment on tomorrow.
My friend is like me & loves Angels she also loves black & white or black & cream, so I've gone mono which is my fave....

This is 'The Gift' which I thought was perfect for my friend as she really is my gift....we have been thru some stuff together & we still come through smiling. I think its cus we are both as crazy & nuts as each other lol.

She is coloured with Copics C7, C5, C3 & C1. I've also added silver stickles, black stickles & stardust stickles & her dress I scattered a slight dusting of glitter. The flower I made my self with lace & a button from my stash.

The silver charm & chain I got from my jewellery stash. The charm is a love heart with 'Friend' written on it.

The black rose in the corner I added stickles to. I attached 2 ribbons across the middle the bottom one is a gold toned organza ribbon & the top one is a black velvet ribbon. They are both from Crafty Ribbons who do both type of seam binding now, the modern & the vintage.

The paper I used is 8x8 La Creme Stack which you can get from Crafty Emma's & she has this on special at the minute. Its gorgeous paper the black on the top layer is gorgeous flocking. I have a also decorated the inside to compliment the front. The gems are from my stash & of course the beautiful stamp is from
Crafts & Me. Pop yourself over to see the new releases Teresa has in & dont forget if you register for a newsletter you will receive 10% off new releases.....you know what that means for what you save you could buy another stamp lol.
Take care everyone & thank you so much for popping by to look at my card I really appreciate it.

The Silentness

Hello everyone its Vicky here running late again. I actually forgot I had not put my post on & went to Ikea to get more storage for my craft room.......my wrists have been slapped!!!!
How have your weekends been? My was eventful you could say......my hubby went fishing & nearly drowned thankfully he was helped by others.... Then the following day he became ill & has been really ill all weekend....Thankfully tho he is alright now & on top form again.....phew!! So what turned out to be bad luck was in fact good luck cus I have my hubby here with me instead of it been much much worse!!!
Well that was my weekend. So here I am to show you a card I've made with a stamp available at
I did have a little time over the weekend & I mean a little lol.....so I decided to get my distress inks out obviously I'm still in practice mode on these.....I tried months ago but havnt used them since. Well I wanted to use a sweet pea stamp from the artist Ching-Chou Kuik but give it a different look.....so this is where the inks came in.....I went for soft colours & vintage-y...is that a word???
Anyway here she is she is called 'The Silentness'
Isn't she so beautiful & just chillaxing there........ooohhh wish I was chillaxing outside on a lovely warm summer day.......anyway back to reality. She has been painted with Distress Inks which made a nice change.

I added diamond dust stickles to her wings & bits of flowers. I also edged her wings with silver liquid pearls which looks fab in real life.

The flower at the bottom I made myself & added a pearl button to the middle.

The paper is Prima 'Botanical' which is a new released pad & OMG the paper is gorgeous, I need another pad just for stroking!! All edges were distressed with my stressy tool & inked with Vintage Photo. The punched edges was made using a MS punch around the page set.
Now if you have been over to the store today you will have seen that Teresa has released
Jasmine Beckett-Griffith so if you are wanting any of these beauties get yourself over there quickly cus you wont want to miss these. The other new releases will be released very soon. Teresa has her hands very full at the moment as her daughter is poorly......so her time is with her daughter as we can all understand.
So sending her daughter huge get well hugs for her to get well real soon. You can still place orders & they will be dispatched as quickly as possible.
Well thats it from me for now. Dont forget we still have our challenge 'Red' over here if you fancy entering 1 of your fabulous creations....there is still time.
