I LOVE the little mermaid

It is the Digi teams time for a challenge again at Crafts and Me challenges but you know me and I am never going to be able to resist. This week the theme is swirls so this lady just had to be my choice :D She is the stunning Little mermaid by Sara Burrier and you can only get her from Crafts and me in the digi section. I have not used a single scrap of DP on this card just gone for inks. The image itself I coloured with pro markers then added some sparkle with stickles which I also put all around the edges. For my swirls I have used a gorgeous stamp from personal impression stamped it in a green rather than the turquoise I have inked with so it stands out a bit then embossed it with a clear glittery embossing powder so it sparkles and stands out even more ( it is a lot clearer in real life).

Mr & Mrs

Morning Crafts and Me Fans,

Yayyyy it's finally Friday.  I don't know what it is about the bank holiday weekend's but even though we didn't go back to work until Tuesday it's still been a long week.  Anyway's work's been boring, well maybe not boring but extremely busy, still shouldn't complain I do actually love my job, but then again if I were to win the lottery, I think I'd be off like a shot!

For my card I have used the Whiff of Joy Oakley as Groom and Willow as Bride available from Crafts and Me.

I have coloured them using my copic pens and prisma pencils and added some star dust stickles to the veil. Don't know if you can tell but it was extremely sunny when I took this picture.

My sewing machine decided to do it's own thing at the top, typical, but I have worked out why.  There were lots of layers and the stitching I kind of decided to do as a last minute thing and I had glued, yep glued the edges on before deciding to stitch.  So I think my machine didn't like glue, don't blame it and because it was strips it was hit and miss as to whether the needle went through all the layers or not.  Anyway that's what I get for deciding afterwards!

Ahhhh, aren't they gorgeous.

Have a good weekend.

Mother's Day Gift Set and a short Tutorial

Angela here, I am going to warn you this post has a lot of pictures and I will try to explain how I created my creations with a little tutorial.
For my first pictute this is a Journal book I created for my Mom for Mother's day which is this Sunday here in the US.  I know I am no the Rubber DT but I couldn't help but use this beautiful Digi image by Sara Burrier called "Natalie"   She is one of the new Digi images that was just released.

Here s a close up pf her and isn't she absolutley Stunning?  I think she is so beautiful so I had to use here for my Mom.

Here is a Day Planner/ Calender.

And here is her card I made her. I added some die cut using some Sizzix Dies, Tattered Flowers die, Pearls, Gold Glitter glue and Embossed Felt paper on the background of the card and I also die cut some Tattered flowers to add to her card.

Here are the main supplies I used for the Journal book which I created out of a notebook.
DP to cover the Notebook, Scissors, Tape Gun, Embossed Felt to create the flowers using Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die by Sizzix,  K&Company Die cut borders, Craft knife and the image that I colored.

Here is what it looks like after I adhered the front cover with some NEW DCWV DP called 'The Tradewinds". Do the same to the back of your notebook also.

Then all you have to do is cut around your notebook and then sand around the edges to smooth or rough up the edges.

Here is the image after I colored her and cut her out.
Copics Used
Skin: YR000,YR0000, E21 and E11
Hair: E50,E51,E53 and E55
Dress: BV29,B39,B37,B34 and B00
Others: Y26,E42,E41 and E40

All that is left to do now is add image and decorate to your own taste.  All my friends LOVE these little Journal Books so I am always making them for gifts for me to give away or for request from some of my friends to give their loved ones.

But my Mom will get this set and I hope she loves them.

Make sure you go and check out all the new Digital images by Sara Burrier HERE at Crafts and Me Store.
Thanks for stopping by today.

I also added some sparkle with a Clear Sakura Gel Pen.

Here is a cheap Day Planner that I picked up for .50 cents at a Joann Craft Store.  I just covered the Day Planner with the DP I wanted.  See next pic after paper was adhered.

Crafts & Me DT.........Art Deco Couple

Hello my lovelies how are you on bright & cheerful day? Thank you to all for your get well wishes I am slowly working my way round to your blogs. I never came back on at all yesterday I was stuck in bed all day in pain still got it today but its not as bad & I cant leave you for another day.........
Anyway less of my babble as today its my turn to show you my creation for Crafts & Me.
Today I am showing you a gift bag I made & if you come back in 2 weeks time I will have the tutorial for you on how to make this very sturdy gift bag. I have used one of Crafts & Me Art Deco stamps I did want to do a card to go with this but with being ill I didnt get chance.....luckily I made this on Saturday.

This is Art Deco 'Couple' which of course you can get here. I got mine on a sheet of 4 cus they are excellent value for money but they are also available as singles if you dont want all 4. I think these are perfect for weddings, engagements anniversaries etc.

The papers I've used are Websters Pages & were perfect for art deco style images. The sentiment is from a wood block stamp off my shelf.

The flowers I made myself & sprayed them with Glimmer Mist to give them a bit of sparkle.

This is the rear of the gift bag. The verse I printed on my compy. The corners were punched out using a MS corner punch.

The image has been coloured with Copics & I've kept the image looking soft. The hearts were from a stamp off my shelf again.

This is from the top & I have just put tissue paper inside.
I hope you like my project today it did kinda flow together nice & easy & I've tried keep it simple to match the art deco style.
Dont forget this weeks challenge is still running which is 'Vintage' so why not pop along here & enter those vintage/distressed creations.
Here is my card I made for this challenge........

This is 'Marilyn Seated' from The Stampsmith range at the CRafts & Me Store. Teresa has also put some new ones of these on so why not go check them out.
Also keep an eye out for some new digital releases coming soon at the Crafts & Me Store.
Well thats it from me but pop over to my blog here later as I will be putting some yummy candy on.
Tatty bye my lovelies xoxox
