Welcome to our new digi teamie Dana

Good morning everyone,
Today as promised I would like to introduce you to our fabulous new digi DT Dana.
Dana is a wonderful artist and will be sharing her artistic work with all of you, we all wish Dana good luck for her first post here at C&M.
And I for one can't wait to see what creations Dana will be sharing with us over the coming months.
Below is a little bio from Dana followed by her 1st post.
Please give Dana a big welcome everyone,
Teresa xx

I've been married for 27 years. We have been blessed to raise three kids that we remain close with and have one grandson, who you guessed it, is the light of our life. I have been crafting and coloring since I was old enough to hold a crayon. I've dabbled over the years with everything from needle arts to pottery. For one reason or another, most of those have fallen by the wayside but the one thing that has always remained a constant is coloring. I am so thrilled to be a part of this team and can only hope that I can help you fall in love with all of the amazing artwork available at Crafts and Me too!

Now on to my very first post. First off, thanks to Teresa and the entire team (or I should say teams) for making me feel so welcome = )
For my first card I am using Priscilla by the artist Hannah Lynn avaiable at the Crafts and Me store:
I love her and had such a fun time with this card!! I just found these fibers at the store and oh, how I wish  I would've had some on hand when I made this! I can only imagine how much cooler this could've been! But, working with what I had on hand, I cut out the "moon" and airbrushed with C1, YG11 and BV23.
I created my background papers with my copics after watching Vix's tutorial here.
Here's a close up:

I always have a hard time matching my copic violets and red violets to my papers. So how cool to just be able to create your own!
Here are the colors I used:
Thanks so much for coming by. If I can bring you just a fraction of the inspiration that my teamies have given me with their amazing coloring and cardmaking skills I will be happy =)
Hugs~

Ching-Chou Kuik Rubberstamps and Digi Image Perched at Dawn

Hi there! This is Rose sharing some of the colored images that I’ve been playing with recently. I’ve been having way too much fun adding color to these amazing Ching-Chou Kuik rubberstamped images.

This photo shows how I’ve used some of my favorite Copic colors to fill Ching-Chou Kuik’s Wait For You.

This photo shows my attempts at making a black cat while filling this Ching-Chou Kuik Moonlight Whispering image. Once my marker ink was dry, I added another light layer of blue to give that dark black cat a cool overtone of blue for a midnight effect.

You may have seen this card at the current Crafts and Me Stripes challenge. I’ve used my Copic colors to fill this recently released Perched at Dawn digital image by Sara Burrier. Wouldn’t you love to have this sweet, little, chubby bird there to greet you into your new day?

You can find these and more newly released digi images at the Crafts and Me store here.

There's still time to add your entry to the current Digi team's Stripes challenge here.  Visit the Crafts and Me challenge blog again on Wednesday for a new Rockin' Rubbah challenge.

Wishing you a fantastic day!  We're so glad you stopped by to visit!

Sunny Saturday

Well I hope it is sunny where you are it is here in London :D Sorry this is late I am just back from work. Is anyone else going to Ally Pally tomorrow? I can't wait.
Anyway that is enough of me it's time for some cards. This first one is using the brilliant going out stamp (grab her HERE) and coloured her with a mix of promarkers and some metallic touches with sakura metallic pens. I wanted to make her a bit more frilly so added the doily across the side which I picked up a stack of from a pound shop :D

My next card is my card for the current challenge over at Crafts and Me challenges which is to use stripes. The gorgeous digi is of course from Crafts and me and she is called Natalie. I have coloured her with promarkers that you can get from Crafts and me and added some sparkle with sakura stardust pens. I have edged the scalloped card and the layering round the image with a gold metallic sakura pen.

I hope you all have a great weekend

Huge hugs

Cloud Tutorial

Hi Everyone,

I have been asked a few times how I drew the clouds, so I have a little tutorial for you.  Firstly what I will say is that if you look at the clouds in the sky, they change everyday and are so random that you can't get this wrong as there is no right way or wrong way of doing it.  If you don't feel confident then stamp your image but don't colour it and practice drawing the clouds.

You will need B91, B000, C1, C00 and your colourless blender and of course your image.  I have chosen "Gardening Girl Dawn" by Hannah Lynn from Crafts and Me.

First I draw random outlines of the clouds using B91.  Remember to make sure you have very small lines towards the bottom to make them look like they are far away bring depth to your scene.

Then I added the B000

Then I added some C1.  Think of this as your shadows.

Then I go in with the C00 and blend

Then I use the colourless blender pen to blend all the colours together, which tones down the colours and gives you subtle clouds.

I hope you will experiment, you can add some B00 to make your clouds bluer or add some oranges, reds and yellows and create a sunset.

Whatever you decide, have fun!

The second creation I show you is a card I made for the last Crafts and Me Challenge with the theme 'Add a Heart'. I used 'Day of Joy' by the wonderful artist 'Sara Burrier. Since today we have a new theme over at the Crafts and Me Challenges. The theme is 'Stripes' this time. We would love to see you joining us.

Well, wish you a magical day today!

Hey Peeps!

I have to do this post real quick, sorry about that, lol. This first card i posted in my blog a couple of days ago and i just had to show it here too. I was so pleased with the outcome and i hope you like it too. The image is called "Turn to hesed" and it is designed by Sara Burrier. And i just loooove it. She is absolutely devine.

I am very satisfied with how the heat embossing on her dress and mask turned out. I have also used some Marianne Design creatables dies called Flower and leaves and it is available right here. If you want to take a closer look on both these cards just visit my blog.

This next card is the one i made for the last digi challenge. She is called Analinda and is designed by Hannah Lynn. I have tried to keep both my cards in a shabby chic style. I just love the soft colours of the shabby style.

Well...that`s all i had to show you today. Don`t forget to enter the Rubbah team challenge. They want you to create something with hearts on. So that has to be an easy one, lol.

Have a great weekend everyone!
